Privacy Policy

AllSafe ("we", "our", or "the app") is a family safety app designed to help families in Israel stay connected during rocket alerts. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.
1. Data We Collect
- Phone number — used to create and identify your account via one-time passcode (OTP) authentication.
- Display name — the name you choose, shown to your family group members.
- Profile photo — optional avatar you upload, stored in our secure file storage.
- Precise GPS location — used to find your nearest shelter during an alert and to determine whether you are inside an active alert zone. Location is only sent to our servers when you have granted permission and the app is in use.
- Safety status — when you mark yourself safe or acknowledge an alert, this status is shared in real time with your family group.
- Push notification token — used to send you shelter and safety alerts from your family.
- Language preference and app settings — stored to personalise your experience.
2. How We Use Your Data
All data is used exclusively to operate the app:
- Authenticating your account
- Displaying your status and location to your family group in real time
- Finding the nearest shelter based on your GPS coordinates
- Detecting whether you are inside an active Pikud HaOref alert zone
- Sending push notifications about alerts and family safety updates
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics sold to third parties, or any purpose outside the app's core functionality.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Your data is shared only in the following limited ways:
- Your family group — your display name, avatar, safety status, and nearest shelter address are visible to members of your family group.
- Supabase — our backend infrastructure provider (database, authentication, and file storage). Supabase processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Data is stored in EU-region servers.
- Nominatim / OpenStreetMap — your GPS coordinates are sent to the Nominatim geocoding service to reverse-geocode the address of your nearest shelter. No personally identifiable information is included in this request.
- Pikud HaOref — we read public alert data from the Israeli Home Front Command API. No user data is sent to Pikud HaOref.
4. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account), which permanently deletes all your personal data including your profile, status history, and uploaded photo.
5. Children's Privacy
AllSafe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
6. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication uses one-time passcodes — no passwords are stored. Row-level security policies ensure users can only access data they are authorised to see.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can update your display name and photo directly in the app. To delete all your data, use the Delete Account feature in Settings. For any other requests, contact us at the address below.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated within the app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
